My Name is Krystal Harris and I am the owner of Early Bird Vegan & Head Chef. Born and raised in AZ, I come from a large family and I’m the youngest of 8 children. Exceptional food was in my DNA from birth. My mother hails from Thailand and my late father was born in Alabama. Family dinner was always a culinary cultural match up, with holidays looking and feeling like an exceptional experience.
After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, AZ in 2002, I firmly established a name for myself by privately cooking for NBA professionals and operating my own catering company for over a decade. Now, I spend time at a local incubator farm where we produce organic veggies for the community while supplying the valley's newest Vegan Comfort Food Truck "Trash Panda Vegan", which I proudly own as well. I focus on a true farm to table experience.
Early Bird Vegan was born in 2020, it’s located in South Mountain – the largest populated food desert in AZ. My team and I take pride in providing the Phoenix community with healthier food alternatives, educating through local products and unique vegan recipes. We truly want everyone to have the knowledge of where their food comes from, how it affects the body, and how to grow food. All of our delicious, sweet treats are dairy and egg free. We also serve fresh cold pressed juices and health boosting shots to help kick off your day. We believe that amazing food can be compassionate, delicious, and good for you.
